Billy Gilvear, Minister
Billy Gilvear joined the Pastoral Team in August 2007 and is our church leader. He has a particular gifting and training as an evangelist, with a tremendous personal story to tell of God's amazing grace. Billy is a passionate speaker, keen to see the church as a strong witness of God's love for people in Guernsey and beyond. As well as leading Shiloh, Billy has led island-wide mission including joint church Alpha courses (170 people) and prison missions. He is married to Bev and they have 4 children, Jordan, Jack, Ben and Lydia.

Phil Eyre, Pastoral Assistant/Church Manager
Phil, one of our elders, gave up a high-flying career in finance in response to God's call and joined the team as a pastoral assistant (part time) last year. He is an accredited lay pastor with the Southern Counties Baptist Association. As well as working for Shiloh, Phil is keenly involved in the New Wine Training Partnership in Guernsey as their 'hub director', helping people to train in Kingdom Theology in the island. His other interests include volunteering as a debt counsellor as well as serving on the boards of Guernsey's Bereavement Service and Drug Concern organisations. He is also a board member and Treasurer of BMS World Mission, the baptist missions organisation. In addition, Phil remains a board member of Collins Stewart (CI) Limited, a leading wealth management company. He tends to keep us all in order!
Christiane Salmon, Youth and Children's Coordinator Chrissy oversees our youth and children's work with creativity and passion. Having worked and trained with Oasis, Chrissy brings a wealth of experience to our youth work and is a creative and passionate leader. Chrissy is also keen to work together with other local churches to ensure we are maximising our impact across the island. In addition to heading our youth & children's work, Chrissy regularly leads our cafe church on Sunday evenings.
Other staff team members include Gene Rowe, our church administrator. Gene is a real credit to the church, helping to make sure things happen. Dave & Moira Brehaut clean and tidy for us, a mammoth task given the age of the property and the beating it takes every week! We are also blessed with an intern, Emily Harvey, who will be going to University in the Autumn. Emily helps across practially every department, especially with the children's work, young people and prison. |
