The New Wine organisation exists to equip local churches through training, events and resources. It is a network of churches across denominations founded on the same values of worship, teaching and ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit. New Wine has a vision to see the nation changed through Christians being filled with the Holy Spirit, alive with the joy of knowing and worshipping Jesus Christ, living out His word and doing the works of the Kingdom of God. The Guernsey coordinating team include leadership from Shiloh Church, Church on the Rock, Les Camps methodist and Holy Trinity church. EVENTS Saturday 30th October: Women's day with Ellie Mumford Our women's days combine challenging teaching with worship and a chance to relax and reflect. Ellie Mumford, with her husband John, is National Director for the Vinyard movement in the UK. Details for the day to follow.
7th & 8th May 2011: New Wine Guernsey weekend at Baubigny Schools (near Oatlands) Following this year's excellent weekend, The New Wine Guernsey weekend 2011 will be held on 30th April and 1st May at Baubigny Schools. This is a weekend of worship, teaching and ministry for all ages. We are excited about the opportunity to build on this year's event where over 700 people came together to focus on Jesus and seek to see God's kingdom grow in Guernsey. We have invited Kenny Borthwick back as one of our speakers and already have two further speakers reserved. Make a date in your diaries to avoid disappointment!
New Wine Training Partnership (www.nwtp.org.uk)
We are keen to see Christians trained and equipped and as such we are helping to establish a Guernsey training hub within the New Wine Training Partnership organisation. This provides university accredited qualifications in Kingdom Theology, delivered locally during evening sessions, home study and two residential weeks away. There is a 'taster day' on 20th March for anyone interested in joining the course or partnering with us in prayer and finance (see downloads). If this is of interest to you it would be good to speak with Phil Eyre who can provide you with further detail (07781 100351). |
